About
Luau Beach Inn is a family-run guesthouse on Fulidhoo, a small local island in the north of Vaavu Atoll, welcoming guests since 2016. Its 14 air-conditioned, soundproofed rooms all open onto a private balcony, and the sea-view rooms look straight onto the Indian Ocean. The inn has a rooftop restaurant with views over the turquoise lagoon, a cosy café on the beach and a private beach. Divers are well looked after: Divers Lodge Fulidhoo, a PADI 5-Star centre, operates from the property, and snorkel gear is provided. Fulidhoo is known for its reef, its stingrays and sharks close to shore and one of the best lagoons in Vaavu for water sports. The inn is also built with accessibility in mind, with a lift between floors, ramps, wheelchair-accessible rooms and roll-in showers. It suits divers, couples and families who want a relaxed stay on a friendly Maldivian island. We confirm room and meal details with the guesthouse when you book.

Things to do
Diving is the speciality, with Divers Lodge Fulidhoo, a PADI 5-Star dive centre, on the property. Fulidhoo's lagoon is one of the best in Vaavu Atoll for water sports, with kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, catamarans, jet skis, wakeboarding and kite rental. Boat trips include snorkelling at the coral gardens, shark point and turtle point, a shipwreck snorkel, dolphin trips and sunset cruises, a blue lagoon and sandbank outing, and fishing charters. Stingrays gather in the shallows off the island, and on special occasions you can watch traditional boduberu drumming. We confirm excursion options and prices with your quote.
Getting There
Speedboat from Velana Airport takes about 1 hour, leaving at 10:30 and 16:00 from Saturday to Thursday and at 09:30 and 16:00 on Fridays. The guesthouse and Atolliva arrange the boat with your booking, and we help you choose flights that match the boat times.
Good to know
Fulidhoo is an inhabited local island: no alcohol on the island, modest clothing in the village, swimwear on the bikini beach. Check-in is from 1:00 pm and check-out by 12:00 noon. Marine sightings are never guaranteed.
