About
Arena Beach Hotel is on Hiyfaseyha Magu in Maafushi, the best-known guesthouse island in Kaafu Atoll (South Malé Atoll). The hotel has its own spa, Sense Spa, and its own dive centre, Arena Scuba, and it arranges water sports and excursions from the island. Special touches such as floating breakfasts, candle-lit dinners, photography sessions and beach weddings can be added to a stay. Maafushi is a busy, sociable island with a bikini beach for swimming and sunbathing. It suits couples and friends who want plenty to do and an easy 35-minute transfer from the airport.

Dining & facilities
Stays are offered on bed and breakfast, half board or full board. Sense Spa is in the hotel, and the Arena Scuba dive centre is part of the same operation. For special occasions the hotel can arrange floating breakfasts and candle-lit dinners.

Arena Scuba runs diving trips, and the hotel organises water sports and excursions from Maafushi. Couples can add a beach wedding or a photography session.
Getting There
Shared speedboat from Velana Airport takes about 35 minutes.
Good to know
Maafushi is an inhabited local island: no alcohol on the island, modest clothing in the village, swimwear on the bikini beach. Gala dinners on 24 and 31 December are compulsory for guests staying those nights.
