About
Stone Beach Club is the budget-friendly sister of Stone Hotels on Dhiffushi, a local island in Kaafu Atoll (North Malé Atoll) about 37 km north-east of Malé. It keeps things simple. There are two room types, both with ocean views, king-size or twin beds and a private balcony, and a rooftop lounge with wide views over the sea. The hotel's own diving and excursions centre makes it easy to get out on the water, and Dhiffushi's house reef runs for more than 10 km. Stone Hotels, with its infinity pool and restaurants, is a separate building three to five minutes' walk away. It suits couples, solo travellers and divers who want a sea view and a good base for trips, without paying for extras they won't use.

Latuna Cafe & Bistro serves hearty breakfasts, light lunches and afternoon coffee, and Cove Cafe is the in-house café. The restaurants at Stone Hotels, a few minutes' walk away, include Aanu Restaurant & Bar and Picanha Steakhouse. Choose bed and breakfast, half board or full board. There is a rooftop lounge, a 24-hour front desk, a convenience store and the Ilaa gift shop. Rooms have air conditioning, a minibar, Wi-Fi, a safe and a balcony with seating.
Things to do
The diving and excursions centre runs dives, water sports, sunset cruises, fishing trips and day trips to sandbanks and other inhabited islands. Dhiffushi's house reef, more than 10 km long, is right on the doorstep.
Getting There
Dhiffushi is about 35 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport.
Good to know
Dhiffushi is an inhabited local island: no alcohol on the island, modest clothing in the village, swimwear on the bikini beach. Check-in 14:00, check-out 12:00.
