About
Turtle Maldives is a guesthouse on Omadhoo, a local island in South Ari Atoll, about 75 km from Velana International Airport. The tourist beach, with sun loungers, is just two to three minutes' walk away. Rooms pair modern comforts with Maldivian touches, from compact Standard Rooms to larger Deluxe Rooms with a private balcony and a Nespresso machine. Meals are taken at the Turtle Garden restaurant, which serves Western and Maldivian dishes, and stays include full board. Snorkelling gear is free to use, and the team runs trips to see whale sharks and manta rays, dolphins and sandbanks. It suits couples, friends and solo travellers who want simple, well-run comfort, all meals sorted and plenty of time on the water.

Getting There
The scheduled speedboat from Malé takes about 1 hour 30 minutes, leaving at 10:30 and 16:00 (Saturday to Thursday) and 09:30 and 16:00 on Fridays. A private speedboat or the slower public ferry via Mahibadhoo are also options.
Good to know
Omadhoo is an inhabited local island: no alcohol on the island, modest clothing in the village, swimwear on the bikini beach.
