About
Whaleshark Beach is a modern 23-room guesthouse on Dhigurah, a long, narrow island on the southern edge of Alif Dhaal (South Ari Atoll). Every room has a private balcony and a calm, natural look, with soft colours, wood textures and air conditioning. The Remora restaurant and rooftop terrace serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes, indoors or under the stars with a sea breeze, and a PADI dive centre on site makes it easy to add a course or a dive. Dhigurah lies in a marine protected area where whale sharks, manta rays and dolphins can be met through the year, and the guesthouse arranges the snorkelling trips. It suits couples, families, friends and divers who want comfort and a lively base on a local island. We confirm room and meal details with the guesthouse when you book.

Getting There
Dhigurah is about 20 minutes by domestic flight to Maamigili, or about 1 hour 30 minutes by speedboat, from Velana International Airport. The public speedboat leaves from the airport harbour counter, and we arrange the transfer with your booking.
Good to know
Dhigurah is an inhabited local island of about 600 residents: no alcohol on the island, modest clothing in the village, swimwear on the bikini beach.
