Ambra Maldives is a boutique stay of six loft-style villas on Thoddoo, a local island in North Ari Atoll known for its farms and fresh fruit. Each villa is about 42 square metres, with a living area downstairs and a bedroom up the stairs, and it sleeps up to four adults and one child. Breakfast is included, and the restaurant cooks with fresh local, organic ingredients. A palm-shaded walk of about 120 metres leads to Sunset Beach. Ambra suits couples, families and small groups who want more space and a design-led base on Thoddoo, with snorkelling, diving, fishing and nature trails close by. Things to do

Thoddoo has coral reefs, white sand beaches and an easy local rhythm. Snorkelling, diving and fishing trips can be arranged, and you can walk through the island's farms and nature trails or cycle around Thoddoo. Sunset Beach is a short walk from the villas. Getting There

Thoddoo is about 75 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, with scheduled departures each day in both directions. We arrange the boat with your booking and help you choose flights that match the boat times.

Good to know

The villas welcome guests aged 6 and above. Thoddoo is an inhabited local island: no alcohol on the island, modest clothing in the village, swimwear on the bikini beach.
